SDFI®-TeleMedicine believes in supporting the forensic industry in every way it can.

Examples of our support include providing training, protocols and funding options to help hard-working forensic-industry personnel perform optimally in their jobs.

This support also includes providing grant and alternative funding source information. In fact, more than half of SDFI Forensic Camera System users have received grants, many through the information we provide to them, in order to purchase their equipment.

However, as you know, we have hit uncertain times, and the current climate is unpredictable. The 2018 budget has been proposed, and the suggested cut to the Department of Justice (DOJ) is a whopping $4.1 BILLION dollars, resulting in a twenty percent drop from last year’s budget figure. As you may know, VOCA (Victims of Crime Act) and VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) fall under the DOJ umbrella. See this New York Times' Article for more information.

However, there are still grants out there! SDFI is currently working hard, determining new areas for funding, so many others can also benefit from the system that “Helps You See Better”, while being “Secure Beyond Reasonable Doubt”.
